Good Homes Mean Good Communities

Community First Housing Corp is a Community Housing Development Organization (CHDO) and Property Management Group dedicated to curing housing instability. We secure affordable housing through the rehabilitation and new development of affordable, multi-family and single-family housing solutions in Long Beach, CA, and other surrounding communities. We are committed to creating vibrant and sustainable communities through our Community Housing Initiative

Life Skills Training Programs

Life skills can be thought of in terms of three broad categories

Core or Basic skills

This includes numeracy, literacy and information technology

Independent Living skills

This program is about managing a household, budgeting, appointment keeping and contacting services, dealing with bills and correspondence

Social skills

This includes interpersonal skills, avoiding or dealing with neighbor disputes, developing self-confidence and social networks

 We offer home repair services to homeowners and other Nonprofits so they can continue to live in safe, decent homes for years to come. Some of our home repair work includes painting, landscaping, weatherization, and minor repair services to preserve home exteriors and revitalize neighborhoods.

Community Coalition for Homelessness

Community Coalition for Homelessness will bring together stakeholders involved in homeless services and those from the outside to discuss implementable solutions and be a part of the blueprint for preventing and addressing homelessness in the future.
